Buckhead, Atlanta Georgia
Buckhead is an uptown district within the city of Atlanta, Georgia. Comprising over 100,000 residents and approximately the northern one-fifth of the city, Buckhead is legally defined as that portion of the city of Atlanta northwest of Interstate 85 and northeast of Interstate 75.
Known as one of the more affluent neighborhoods of the city, it is nicked named "Beverly Hills East" in reference to Beverly Hills, California, an area to which it is often compared.
Buckhead is home to the most upscale retail experience Atlanta has to offer including the shops of Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza. The completion of Ben Carter Properties' "Streets of Buckhead" aims to complete the retail sector or Buckhead, infusing the area with an outdoor, pedestrian friendly "Rodeo Drive" type atmopsphere, complete with world renowned couture retailers.
